It seems that BMW does not just want to produce a BMW i8 Coupe version but a 2013 BMW i8 Spyder Concept as well to increase the potential market for the car. A Czech website has dropped the first 2013 BMW i8 Spyder Concept photos. And since some of you may be wondering if they’re real or not, we asked around and can confirm their authenticity as sources told us that the 2013 BMW i8 Spyder Concept will make its world premiere at the Auto China Show in Beijing at the end of April.

Then, after over the weekend BMW has unveiled their 2013 BMW i8 Spyder Concept; today we have an additional video, showing the drop-top concept in action. For those not in the know, the 2013 BMW i8 Spyder Concept will be the BMW’s most advanced car yet. The 2013 BMW i8 Spyder Concept features a 170-hp electric motor which powers the front wheels; powering the rear wheels is a 1.5 liter, three cylinder engine which produces 223 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque.
