Next Porsche Boxster and Cayman to become known as 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman

Porsche has introduced a title change for the following Porsche Boxster and Cayman to 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman and recommended they’ll be similar moving forward.

PORSCHE HAS DIPPED into its back catalogue to resurrect the 718 model title that centered racing within the nineteen fifties and ’60s. It’s made the decision to relabel its next-generation Boxster and Cayman models as 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman hinting that two models can have “more commonalities – both visual and technical”.
